Bushcraft is a big passion in my life, rooted in a deep love
towards our nature

"I've owned many different wool tops in my time,
from all corners of the globe.
The Simple woodsman hoody beats all of them hands down. Full of well thought out features which leave me wondering why no one else thought
of adding them before.
It's top quality materials with a rugged reliabity, made by someone who clearly has spent time
living in the woods not just visiting"
“ I went out to test and play with my awesome wool anorak from simplewoodsman ...
What a great piece of gear!!
I really enjoy natural materials, even if it is heavier than the so called "technical" petroleum based materials, this super high quality wool, and such a pleasure to wear, resistant to fire sparkles, durable, ecologic, easy to repair if needed and so thermoregulating that you can wear it in a great range of temperature from winter to the cold evenings of spring and autumn or higher altitude.
I could speak about it way longer but you
have the essentials here.
This is a investment but same as a technical mountain piece of gear and way more
durable and comfy in my opinion!
Thank you Johnny for making such a crazy but essential piece of outdoor gear! “
"Most of all bushcrafting is a certain set of outdoor skills
and a strong mental mindset.
My goal is to pass on some of these skills and knowledge to others, and to provide active bushcrafters and all
other outdoor people the opportunity to use some of the functional, durable, high quality types of outdoor gear I use myself.”

Bushcraft is a set of wilderness skills, but also a mental gateway to get back in tune with ones rural roots.
Bushcraft is about thriving in the natural environment, and the acquisition of the skills and knowledge to do so.
Bushcraft skills include firecraft, tracking, hunting, fishing, shelter-building, navigation by natural means, the use of tools such as knives and axes, foraging, water sourcing, hand-carving wood, container construction from natural materials, cordage making, among many others. You will need a limited amount of gear/tools to get by.
The main thoughts behind bushcraft is: The more you know, the less you carry.
The more you master various Bushcraft skills outdoors, the more you will gain a strong deep feeling of self-reliance, instead of always only having to depend on gear you bring.
You will divert your focus more and more towards all the many natural resources, the versatility of a few selected tools combined with your skills.
The simplicity in the core of all this is a mental liberation from the stressful modern world most people live in too. Nature is one of the only true stress free environments for human beings.
The goal in Bushcraft is not just to be able to survive outdoors - but to be able to relax and enjoy the outdoors to the fullest at the same time.
A solid knowledge and deep respect towards nature.
